Branko Paradis was born in Zagret, Yugoslavia on July 7, 1942. At the age of 11, he started painting and has continued studying and exploring the tradition of naïve painting ever since. Among his many subjects, he has recently chosen to focus on the animal world, bringing his use of vibrant color to bear on the exploration of the exotic. |

Since immigrating to the United States in 1970, he has enjoyed great popularity in New York and throughout Europe, exhibiting in galleries from Caracas, Venezuela to Zurich, Switzerland. His one-man shows in New York alone include: Gallery St. Etienne, Greer Gallery and Hammer Gallery and he is represented in many private collections world- wide. |
